The Africa Urban Lab (AUL) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) have announced a significant partnership to deliver continent-leading education, conduct real-world training with urban professionals and policymakers, and carry out frontier research on rapid urbanization across the continent.
The AUL and UNLC Africa enter into an MoU to foster knowledge exchange, capacity-building, and collaboration through events, education, and a community of practice to empower African professionals and municipal officials in leadership and urban development.
The AUL is organizing a series of public talks that will include city-focused lectures from urban scholars and thought leaders across Africa and the world. The first-ever Public Talk was delivered by one of the world’s leading urbanists, Alain Bertaud. The talk was covered by local media, including The Citizen, ZAN-TV, ZBC and SN-TV.
The AUL and AFLEX signed an MOU to Develop tailored leadership programs and share best practices with a focus on urban development and governance. Collaborating on research, policy analyses, and faculty exchanges to address critical issues in governance, public policy, and sustainable urban development in Africa.
AUL and ZRCP entered into a MOU under which AUL will work with ZRCP to promote staff exchange for the mutual benefit of both institutions; engage in joint research projects, policy analysis and dissemination activities; and co-convene events focusing on economic transformation.
AUL and Ardhi University signed a Letter of Agreement to engage in student exchanges, pursue joint research projects, co-organize knowledge sharing and dissemination events, and build out a cities-focused research network.
